📍A Vegas Trip

While every break from school is one to cherish, there's just something amazing about the start to summer. The weather begins to warm up, the homework load disappears, trips to the beach become more frequent, and travels with companions are always spontaneous.

Most of my past summers have been stay-cations however this year it started out exciting. I jumped right into summer exploring the Vegas strip and lounging around by the pool at the Mandalay bay hotel. Even through the 100 degree weather, we still made the most of our trip and I loved every minute of it.

Day 1-

We embarked on our journey on June 15th at 6:00pm. The ride there took about 5-6 hours and we made a few pit stops on the way.

We stopped at In-n-out for some food and then later on at a McDonalds for a bathroom break. The car ride was peaceful and I slept through most of it, especially since we finally arrived in Las Vegas around midnight. Vegas truly is a city that never sleeps.

Day 2-

Our first official day in Vegas was very well spent. With a break from the hot weather, we spent most of our day lounging around at the pool and then head out for some night life exploring.

We were shocked and amazed when we arrived at the pool. The endless lazy river, the wave pool with its fast shore break, and the crazy amount of normal swimming pools they had looked like so much fun. We immediately jumped straight in and the cold water felt so nice against the sweltering heat outside. We eventually left the poolside around 4 pm and headed back to the hotel room. After spending about an hour cleaning up, we headed out onto the town.

We visited the M&M and Herseys world and also had a stop at the coke-a-cola building. Everything was so alive at night and just walking around made us feel like locals. Although I only made one purchase of a bag of mini M&M's, the walk was still beautiful.

After a few hours went by, we headed to MGM grand for our cirque de soleil show. The show was amazing and I 10/10 recommend. Overall, the day was pretty eventful and I had lots of fun.

Day 3/ last day-

The last day in Vegas was all about shopping and exploring. We went in most of the hotels along the strip and then continued our road trip back to Carlsbad.

On the last day, we went hotel to hotel and just continued exploring the city. We spent most of our time in the Caesar hotel shopping and eating at this delicious place. Although I did not buy anything, the experience was very enjoyable. My feet were absolutely dead by the end of the day and we headed out of Vegas around 5pm.

After saying bye to Las Vegas, I was so happy about the memories, photographs, and fun I had. I am so excited about the upcoming summer and what more this summer will fulfill.

-Here's a quick little edit I made durning the trip, enjoy-
